Information About the Terms of Agreement for Listing Your Services On Our Website

The New York Lactation Consultant Association (NYLCA) requires that any individual whose services are listed on our website:

• accurately portray their professional qualifications.
• abide by the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes.
• maintain current membership with NYLCA (last verified on June 15, 2011).
• attend at least one event every 12 months.

NYLCA also requires that any lactation consultant whose services are listed on this website:

• be currently certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.
• abide by the NYLCA Bill of Rights and Responsibilities for Clients Seeking a Lactation Consultant.

You must be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to list office and/or home visits.

Failure to comply with the above guidelines may result in removal from the website.

You may contact the NYLCA Ethics Committee if you believe that a provider on this website is not complying with these terms.
