My own breastfeeding struggles with my three children made me pursue this field. I have a degree in Accounting , and worked as an Auditor for NYC Comptroller’s Office for 8 years. It took persuasion of a loving friend and 4 years of study and training to change my career.
It is my passion to assist parents on their breastfeeding journey
and I take great care to accomplish this in a nurturing, compassionate manner. Wanting to breastfeed your baby is natural, but doing it, as I learned myself, doesn’t always come easy. With my extensive training and experience helping families to overcome breastfeeding challenges, I offer lactation education, assistance and support.
My practical, evidence-based approach empowers parents to make informed decisions and achieve their breastfeeding goals. For every parent and baby pair I work with, my focus is on creating an individualized plan
that helps make breastfeeding work for them, even after a rocky start.

As far back as I can remember, I have been drawn to supporting families. After college, I spent a decade working with families with special-needs children in Massachusetts. In 2002, I had the immense privilege of attending the birth of my friend's daughter, which propelled me to become a doula (birth coach). That experience led me to nursing school at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn and a career as a postpartum/mother-baby Registered Nurse.
Witnessing women transform into mothers, often without the necessary support system at home, inspired me to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. My own journey of breastfeeding my children, as well as the challenges we faced, significantly shaped my approach to helping new mothers. I currently work in a Manhattan hospital as a Lactation Consultant and postpartum nurse in addition to my private practice.
I am passionate about women feeling confident about feeding their babies. My hope is that mothers find breastfeeding to be an enjoyable way to learn about and connect with their babies. I believe that no matter how you feed your baby, it can be a nurturing experience for the whole family. I live in the Ditmas Park neighborhood of Brooklyn with my wife and two children, along with Bailey the dog, who still hasn’t determined if the new baby is friend or foe, and Samson the cat, who only occasionally steps on the baby while he’s breastfeeding.
